分析尤金奥尼尔的人生历程何以让他写出TheIcemanCometh和LongDay'sJourneyIntoNight。特色是请一批演员朗读两部戏重要片段，唯一剧场实拍的是03年长夜VanessaRedgrave和RobertSeanLeonard的两段独白（但是浅尝即止反而更渴了！

看片的两个小时没有一分钟不在感谢自己的好运气，在玻璃盒子里一边看TheIcemanCometh和LongDay'sJourneyintoNight一边拼命忍着眼泪的那两个下午真真是我生命中最震撼的艺术体验之一。惟愿某日能够鸳梦重温，而那梦里也依然有百老汇金童温柔却充满力量的声音和常含热泪的褐色眼睛。

好文艺~~我完全不知道这个人...看完以后也不打算去看他的作品....但是纪录片本身很好看...

如果是介绍奥尼尔的人生的话，哪里还有比长夜更好的呢？他的前二十几年既是笼罩在他头上的阴影，又是头上始终灿烂的阳光。长夜是他的遗书。送冰的人来了里面也写了他早期的生活，在家庭之外的落魄生活。

对于喜欢奥尼尔剧作的人，不可不看。但此片似乎过于强调他晚期几部作品的价值，而略有忽视早期，尤其是中期的一些力作。
