- 又是一部角度刁钻的台湾议题剧。野心很大，各方视角和观点铺得很开，但最有力度的还是公投前陈令秋的“以杀止杀，如果非杀不可，就要在最需要的时候杀”，和《大卫•戈尔的一生》可以形成对照组，大卫•戈尔以不假思索的态度展现自我牺牲以杀止杀的悲壮，但八尺门中用陈令秋的反转对“以杀止杀”有延展与反思。可能是原著作者半路出家又自编自导的关系，掌控力不足影响到观剧体验，很多重要打点不清晰或不在更有力道的位置，经常发生某些重大转折后，各方反应表现相当不充分，时间线也略跳。如果跟着主角佟宝驹的人物逻辑捋下来，就会发现他很多态度转变只有结果，原因要么没展现要么非常隐晦，他对海滨命案燃起信念居然只有一场被刘家恒奚落的球赛来推导，相当轻率。太多的场景就像把人物摆在一起进行辩论，总有种不自然的夹生感。
