- 动画制作精良，画面细致，色彩浓郁，非常细致的展现了东方艺术的独特魅力和文化特色，对原著做了诸多改编，节奏也更紧凑，片头曲和片尾曲更是耳熟能详，非常适合青少年儿童观看。小时候看的时候都没注意前7集和后45集画风不一，前7集是【上海电影制片厂】制作的，主题曲也和【中央电视台动画部】制作的后45集不一样。
- 前7集画风跟后面有点不同。孙悟空被唐僧收徒前的集数有点多，到最后几集能感觉到集数不够塞内容了（一些应该分2集的剧情被压缩在1集里，能明显看出转场很急节奏变快）。
