- 木心认为《红楼梦》戳穿了讲是看故事，我觉得戳穿了讲是看结构。其文字叙事精彩绝伦，蒙太奇感极佳，完全可作电影看。87版演员最好看，配乐有功有过，摄影平庸，剪辑则是灾难。注意力应放在文学性上，而不是内容上，不然易起好恶。可惜它偏偏剔除了那些真正迷人的角落，极力侧重戏剧性和世俗化的塑造。...

- 87版红楼梦真的太经典了，服装道具造型都无可挑剔，演员是从全国甄选，逐一淘汰，还要经过培训，是其他版本不能比的。陈晓旭也是唯一的林妹妹。
